Fast Shadows

Enormous fascinating for me, hypnotizing movement trapped in static form, blurry, unfocused to the point of strange abstraction. Playing out in front of me in perfect 2D flat as if they were already images themselves, emerging in stunning cadence frame by frame. I could draw from local car races, draw from local agro locations. But I was ultimately tempted by what was more distant, endowed with enormous mechanical or natural power. Something that takes place in hypnotically regular motion, very colorful and iconic in unknown places, unvisited, far beyond my world. Something that is such a phenomenon today that it has penetrated far into the middle of the Old Continent, all the way to me, and I have found in it many hidden moments that have an intense effect on me, like fast shadows.

Girls from the box

As a Netvor, I don't approach women, or only with great carefulness so as not to scare them. But a strange thing happened between 2002 and 2006. Women were suddenly coming to me, deep into the bowels of my studio, deep into my world, as if I had pressed the button of a magic box. I discovered that brave women and girls decide for themselves how much of their beauty they reveal, and they allowed me everything. A certain line I could never cross, and I gained the confidence that any Netvor can have. I didn't miss a single bit of the beauty that was revealed to me and many beautiful memories were created that must not be lost.

Cut

This project actually came about completely by accident at the time when I was starting out with digital drawing. In trying to get the pressure right with digital brushes, I turned the pressure off for a while and found that it could produce some cuts that had an interesting dynamic character. An abstract graphic style that can dramatically capture different details or create energetic contrasts. Then it was just a step to convert the digital master to analogue using real brushes and paint on canvases, or different mats. In this process, the digital, repeatable pattern can become a single analogue original.
